Fruit Dip Recipe With Sour Cream and Cream Cheese
Cream Cheese Fruit Dip made with sweetened cream cheese and lots of flavor that pairs perfectly with fresh fruit. Creamy fruit dip recipe that can be made in less than 5 minutes!
We love fruit and we eat a ton of fresh fruit at my house, especially in the summer. My kids absolutely love to dip fruit in something and so we have loved trying a bunch of different fruit dip recipes. We really like this Snickerdoodle Fruit Dip with sliced apples and the Orange Creamsicle Fruit Dip is another favorite as well. This Cream Cheese Fruit Dip is even more versatile and really does taste amazing with every single kind of fruit. I absolutely love the cinnamon in the dip, but you can leave that out if you prefer and the dip is still amazing!
Ingredients in Cream Cheese Fruit Dip
Cream cheese – I usually use regular cream cheese, but you can use low-fat or non-fat cream cheese if you prefer. Make sure the cream cheese is completely softened before adding to the recipe.
Powdered sugar – Adds the perfect amount of sweetness to the fruit dip.
Sour cream – Adds even more creaminess to the dip. You can use plain Greek yogurt instead which I actually prefer to do because it adds quite a bit of protein.
Marshmallow cream – Adds a lot of sweetness, fluff and flavor to the dip!
Vanilla extract – The higher quality of vanilla, the better!
Almond extract – This is probably my favorite part of the dip. You can leave this out if you have an allergy, or reduce it a little bit if you feel like the flavor is too strong, but I really love the flavor that this adds!
Cinnamon – Another one of my favorite parts of the dip, but totally optional if you don't really love cinnamon!

HOW DO YOU STORE FRUIT DIP?
Cream cheese fruit dip dip needs to be stored in the refrigerator and it will stay good for 5-7 days. Generally cream cheese does not freeze very well, so this dip should not be placed in the freezer. This fruit dip recipe is so easy to make that you don't really need to worry about making it very far in advance – it only takes a few minutes to put together and is ready to serve immediately if needed, although I prefer to serve it chilled.
HOW DO YOU SOFTEN CREAM CHEESE?
Cream cheese is easy to soften – you can set it out at room temperature or soften it more quickly in the microwave.
-To soften at room temperature more quickly, just set the cream cheese on a plate and cut into smaller pieces. The cream cheese should reach room temperature in about 15-20 minutes with this method.
-To soften the cream cheese in the microwave, remove the foil packaging and set the cream cheese in a small bowl or on a plate. Microwave for about 10-15 seconds. If the cream cheese is still cold and hard, continue to microwave for about 5 seconds at a time until the cream cheese is soft throughout. Just make sure not to microwave it too long or it will start to melt!
WHAT KIND OF CREAM CHEESE IS USED IN CREAM CHEESE FRUIT DIP?
All types of cream cheese work well in this fruit dip recipe! I have tried regular cream cheese, the reduced fat cream cheese and even fat free cream cheese and they all turn out wonderfully! Recently I have been using the Greek yogurt variety because it has a little bit more protein which is a nice addition to any snack. The consistency will be slightly different, depending on what type of cream cheese you use.

This fruit dip recipe is incredible with all types of fruit! We love to serve it with grapes, strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, oranges, bananas, blackberries, raspberries and pretty much any other type of fruit that you like!
